Shopping Tip

Hey y'all,
Since I haven't done a shopping tip in a while I figured I would do a quick one for you guys. If you are like me and don't want to spend hundreds of dollars on things that you will wear for probably one season, this shopping tip is perfect for you. My tip is to go to the sale section before even looking at anything in the store. I do this all the time at Urban Outfitters and J.Crew because their stuff can be so expensive. Even though the stuff in sale section is from the previous season, I would still check anyway.

Lululemon

So, I know that Lululemon is not technically what my blog is about, however, it definitely is a Latest Fashion Trend. If you don't know, Lululemon is a brand of athletica that is really high quality and expensive. People love Lululemon because it is super cute and very "in". I have a pair of their leggings and they are so great and warm, and they have lasted me a really long time. If you want to try Lululemon for the first time, I recommend to get either a pair of leggings (the Wunder Unders are really great) or a nice jacket (I have the Scuba Hoodie and it rocks!) I would not spend a ton of money there if you don't wear athletic clothing a lot, but if you do, it is worth it because their stuff lasts for a while.

Infinity Scarves

Hey y'all,
Today's topic is infinity scarves. I think that infinity scarves have become "in" in the last few years because they are so easy to wear! With regular scarves that have two ends, sometimes people aren't sure how to wear it: whether to loop it around a few times, or make a loop and put the ends through. Infinity scarves make it easier for us because the only options are to let it hang, or to loop it a few times. They are also great for the winter because you can buy a knit one and loop it around your neck multiple times, to make you warmer. Infinity scarves are fun to get in a pattern too because when someone looks at it, they won't be able to tell what it is until you unravel it. I love infinity scarves because they are functional, fashionable, and wearable.

Pinner of the Day

Pinner of the day goes to………
America Joy Mitchell (ezahl)
I picked her because she has some really cute pins and really specific boards!
Go check her out!

Rolled Down Uggs

We all know that Uggs are great for the winter because they are so comfy and warm. Everyone has had their normal pair of Uggs for a few years now, however, people are changing the way they wear them. Instead of wearing them how they are supposed to be worn, people are rolling down the tops of them, so you can see the fur on the inside. I am not sure quite yet if I like this trend, but I have tried it out a few times. I think I would like it better with a different color of Uggs. I currently have the classic tall black ones, and the classic tall brown ones, and I think that it looks better with the chestnut color, because there is a different color fur on the inside.

Happy Holiday Fashion

As we get ready for Thanksgiving, Hanukkah, Christmas, and New Years our fashion is starting to become more festive. I am noticing for this holiday season that red and orange are great, flannel, tights, riding boots, and plaid scarves are really popping up. I have already written posts about some of these things, but I just really wanted to emphasize how much they're popping up on Pinterest and in magazines. A way to incorporate flannel and plaid to your holiday wardrobe is to wear plaid on plaid (AKA flannel on flannel). I think that this is really cute and it is perfect for a Christmas dinner or lunch. Orange is always great for Thanksgiving, and red is always great for Christmas, so If you are going to dinner for Thanksgiving or Christmas make sure to incorporate orange or red to your outfit. For New Years Eve, you absolutely need something either glittery, or something that has sequins on it, as usual.  Just be prepared, because the holidays are coming for us fast!
This is a great example of Plaid on Plaid
This outfit is great for a Christmas dinner or for Christmas Eve
A great option for New Years Eve.

Fall and Winter Colors

Hey y'all,
Today's topic is fall and winter colors. Since fall is almost over, I titled this post as fall and winter colors, and I am just going to be telling you guys on some popular colors.
#1. Maroon- AKA oxblood or crimson. This is a perfect fall/winter color because it is a cooler tone of red, which makes it more appropriate for the winter. Maroon has been in for the past few years because you can accessorize it in any way possible. There are lots of cute maroon dresses, purses, scarves, vests, tights, and shirts.

#2. Forrest Green- This color is perfect for everything. You can wear it in jeans, a jacket, vests, etc. Everyone loves forest green, and you need to have something in your wardrobe that has forrest green on it.
#3. Orange- Orange is a fall color because it reminds people of the leaves changing and Thanksgiving. There are many types of orange shades that are great for fall, but one great one is Burnt Orange. You can incorporate orange into your wardrobe in many different ways such as a purse, scarf, or vest

Pinspirations

Ok, so I am starting a new thing called Pinspiration where everyday I find something off of Pinterest that catches my eye and put it up here on the blog for you guys. My question for y'all is, should I start a new page to put all of the Pinspirations on, or should I just leave it on my main blog page. I'm having a hard time deciding and, but I think if nobody replies, then I am going to leave it on my main blog page. Please leave a comment to tell me what I should do! Thanks

Flannel

Hey y'all,
So, everyone in the world knows that flannel is the ultimate fall pattern. It is one of those things that you think of when you think of fall. Well today I am going to be giving you some advice on how to incorporate flannel into your fashion wardrobe.
#1. An Oversized Flannel Shirt- With an oversized flannel shirt you can pretty much do anything, and that is why they are so great for fall! I like to go to the Men's section at Target and find a nice, thick flannel, they've got some pretty nice ones. My outfit choice will depend on how the weather that day is. If it is a colder day, I might put a big cable knit sweater on top of my flannel, and have the collar and bottom stick out. After I put the sweater on I would pair it with some jeans and riding boots, and a cute crystal or pearl statement necklace.
#2. A Flannel Skirt- Flannel Skirts are surprisingly cute! They made one last year, or the year before from J. Crew that was an absolute hit! If you happen to come upon one and they have it in your size, you should totally snag it. Flannel skirts are really cute to wear with a sweater, a puffer vest, a statement necklace, and riding boots.
#3. Flannel with a Blazer- Flannel with a blazer is similar to my oversized flannel shirt outfit, but this one is a better option for work or school. What you do is take a flannel PRINTED dress shirt (make sure it is not thick flannel because that could ruin the outfit), and a lightweight sweater, that corresponds with the colors in the flannel, over it. Then put a neutral colored blazer on top. To finish the look,  add a chuncy pearl necklace, some jeans, and a choice of riding boots or flats.

Faux or No?

Faux.
So Faux leather and fur have been essential this fall. Faux leather jackets dress up any outfit and put an extra chic look into your outfit. I think it is really cute to wear a faux leather camel colored jacket with a floral dress underneath, some black polkadot tights, and riding boots. Another Faux is Faux Fur. I have seen Faux fur vests EVERYWHERE! I never thought that this would come back in style, because I feel like I wore faux fur vests when I was five years old. But they have, and with a BAM! They did not just creep into fashion, they suddenly appeared and have yet to go away. Faux Fur vests are cute with a loose long sleeve shirt, jeans, riding boots, and a statement necklace. Here are some ideas for Faux…

The Statement Necklace

Hey y'all
So statement necklaces. People have always loved statement necklaces, but lately, they are especially in. In the 1920's statement necklaces looked something like this…
(1920's)
And now they look like this…
(J.Crew)
So, have statement necklaces changed? What has made statement necklaces stay in style for so long? The answer to these questions is that statement necklaces have always and will always exemplify class and high fashion. Ever since the early 1900's and way before, people have been using statement necklaces to add color, show ranking (as in royalty with diamonds), or to dress up an outfit. With one piece, you can change an outfit to look completely different. You could have jeans on with a chambray shirt, and then add a fun statement necklace, and be able to walk out the door with no regrets. Nowadays, you can get them anywhere from Ebay or an old antique store to J.Crew, Chanel, and up. Statement necklaces can look super expensive, even though often times they aren't, and make you look very classy. This is why so many types of people, with so many different styles love them!

Cross Body Bags

Hey y'all,
Today topic is about Cross Body Bags. I think that cross body bags are the best purses of all! They are so functional and easy to manage. I have many cross body bags, more than any other type of purse. I think, to start of ones collection of cross bodies, you need a black and camel colored one. I have found many inexpensive ones from local boutiques, but if you are interested in getting something more on the designer side, then i recommend Rebecca Minkoff Mini Mac or any Michael Kors or Tory Burch Cross Bodies. I have one from Michael Kors that is black quilted leather. For fall, style your cross body bag with a pair of jeans, riding boots, a flannel shirt, and a Barbour Coat!

Barbour Jackets

Hey y'all,
Today's topic is Barbour jackets. I am in love with the Barbour Classic Waxed Beadnell Jacket. It is so versatile and cute. Barbour Jackets are very expensive, so if you want to invest in one, be aware of this. Barbour makes sure to keep you warm in their Beadnell jacket with layers of protection from the wind and rain. It also can dress up any outfit when it is cold outside. I completely recommend this jacket if you are willing to pay the price!

Riding Boots!

Everyone and their mother knows that riding boots are flat out amazing. I just bought my second pair of riding boots. My first pair I bought last year and I completely wore them to death, AKA the soles fell out. My new ones are made by Vince Camuto, and so far I love them.
Riding boots are so functional, yet they are so fashionable. I can wear my riding boots walking around for an entire day! And that is why so many people invest in a nice pair. Next year, I am planning to invest in a pair of Frye riding boots because they are so comfortable and you can wear them forever! My mom has a pair that she has had for 10 years that she still wears all the time. Now, Frye riding boots are on the pricey end of the spectrum ranging at $350, but they are so worth it. To me, riding boots are the epitome of fall time and everyone needs a good pair.

The New Look!

Hey y'all,
If you can tell, I redid the look of the blog! Please leave a comment if you can't read something, or if you have any constructive criticism. Thanks!

Bean Boots

Hey y'all,
So Bean Boots. They're affordable, comfortable, and fashionable. If you are wondering what Bean Boots are, they are made by LLBean and were originally made for duck hunting, this is why some people call them duck boots. They are rubber on the bottom and then have leather tops that lace up. I think that Bean Boots are really cute to wear for the fall and winter with leggings, a Puffer Vest, and a flannel top. So, go and check them out at llbean.com

Monogrammed Necklaces

Hey everyone,
Today's topic is Monogrammed necklaces. Monogrammed necklaces are a great jewelry item to instantly add sophistication to ones outfit. I prefer gold ones, only because I wear gold more. A great place to find them is on www.etsy.com because it is very easy and cheap. These are great gifts to give to friends if you want to be in the $50-$70 range, but they can even have them lower than that. A few different ways to wear them?
1. With a scarf and have the necklace showing as well.
2. With a bib necklace, and then the monogrammed necklace is under it.
3. With a normal outfit, and then accessorize with a bag, army candy, rings, and (for me) riding boots.

J.Crew Quilted Excursion Vest

Hey everyone!
Sorry i haven't written anything in a while, i have been super busy! I just wanted to do a quick little entry about the J.Crew Puffer Vests. These vests were in last year and they have come back this year with some great new colors and prints. Personally, I think that a J.Crew Puffer Vest is one staple that anyone should have in their closet, or rather, any type of vests. I have a J.Crew vest in black and I have absolutely worn it so much this fall. Be prepared because they are pretty pricey. This is the link to the puffer vests: http://www.jcrew.com/womens_category/outerwear/woolpufferjackets/PRDOVR~02725/ENE~1+2+3+22+4294967294+20+225~15~~0~15~all~mode+matchallany~~~~~excursion/02725.jsp?isSaleItem=false
These vests are truly amazing, fashionable, and comfortable and I highly recommend them to everyone out there!
